Oak Terrace is much more than a building for seniors. With a variety of one & two bedroom apartments and over 90,000 square feet, Oak Terrace West simply offers more.
Let's start with the apartments themselves. Ranging from 853 to 1188 square feet, each features wall to wall carpeting, individually controlled heating and central air conditioning, washer-dryer hookups, a large kitchen with refrigerator/freezer, range and dishwasher. Each has either a fireplace or a large deck where residents can enjoy the outdoor view with family and friends.
Our security system will not allow entry to the building without resident or staff acknowledgement. We also offer a wireless emergency call system that allows residents to call for assistance with just the touch of a button.
Concerned with parking your vehicle outside or walking across slippery, snow-packed parking lots? Oak Terrace West offers well lit, heated underground parking. Park in your designated parking stall and allow the elevator assist you to your apartment!
As an Oak Terrace resident, the entire building is there for your private use. Our in-home theatre is just one example. Relax in the soft, comfortable theatre seats while you view the movie of your choice in this specially designed theatre room.
Once a week we offer "Movie Night"! On our bulletin board, we will list what will be playing and our residents are provided with a staff member who will begin the show. During the show, we will be serving popcorn from our -"Theater Style" popcorn popper located just outside of the theater. We also provide a piano, a suspended tv and comfortable seating for those who choose to relax before and after the movie viewing.
For the card player, a CARD room! Warm and inviting with a built-in corner fireplace, this room will accommodate you and the other Oak Terrace card players.
Our "Internet Lounge" will have multiple uses. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning as you browse the internet, read newspapers or converse with other residents. Or join friends in the evening for your beverage of choice while lingering at the bar or relax around one of the gaming tables. This area overflows with warmth and hospitality and is one of our favorites. If exercise and activity is your pleasure, you've come to the right place.
Our recreation center is very spacious and has many uses. The fitness area comes equipped with exercise machines and a television suspended from the ceiling for easy viewing. So hop on a tread mill and burn some calories while watching the Today Show….or Oprah! This center is also geared to accommodate our social, educational and religious activities and comes equipped with a breakfast bar. Anyone play the piano?
